Survival - PreparednessDiscuss the concept of survival in todays world. What does the future hold? Meeting basic needs such as: dangers and safety, shelter, clothing, transportation.
I'm happy to hear of your curiosity. lol It gives me a chance to share my little "carpentry" project. It's actually ongoing (I'll probably never stop expanding my garden and livestock), but I will take a few pics tomorrow.
Time to get some turkeys!!! Hopefully this week.
Buying some property soon too (land is still relatively cheap here) and I might just get some cattle or something big once I do.
BTW - even if you can't find yourself some (hopefully cheap) property to buy and even if you don't have all that much room, the chickens really don't take up much space. Their run is only 12'x8'x8' and their coop is only 8'x8'x4'. I let em run outside sometimes, but they never go more than a few feet away anyway. We've got 14, but once we find out which ones are hens and which ones are roosters, we'll be getting rid of all but one of the roosters.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I notice the terrain is a lot different than where i live but I see you are managing it quite well. When you start raising turkeys they are raised best in a round pen or room. Young turkeys gather up in corners and wind up crushing one another. In a round room there are no corners for this to happen. Of course you probably already know this. I enjoyed your video.
Books are important- cookbooks (so we know how not to waste food resources), health and safety books, first aid, even surgical books and materials
Of course, books about the usual tactics of the Jew woudn't hurt- such as what behavior they look for to determine if you are their enemy, what kind of things you can do to avoid them.
I agree with whoever talked about the poison testing for food. We cannot be walking encyclopedias who know each an every thign about which rivers they will poison, which company brands are safe, which water companies are dangerous, which things are really Kosher, etc. We should have something to test food and water and get rid of the poisons.
Perhaps we could also have Rabbi costumes so that if we need to avoid being attacked or targeted...? The picture in my mind is funny but I'm being serious.
Internet connection to talk to other awake persons and networking in case we need to band together for an attack. Also so we can communicate with loved ones.
Family photos and home videos- memories are important. Memories of our past happy life before we had to go "underground". This is especially important for those who have to abandon a Jew-unaware family who don't take the threat realistically.
Make sure to save a HARD copy of photos, more than one, preferably, encased in glass or Ziplock. You can't trust they won't ruin the computers, electronics, and other things like discs and flash drives, Hard copies are safest.
Make sure to have health food books that tell you what foods are the best (omega 3s, whatever) and books that tell you which mushrooms are safe. I recall a thread about white people and how they have to get their Vitamin D from mushrooms because the sun burns their skin.
We could also bring language books, in case we need to speak to someone of a different language if we have to move away from the territory, or need to better network.
We need a whole word document we can all download, not just some discussion thread. We can list things according to "Wants" and "needs" and organize them based on how much we want and need them, and by why we need or want them. Perfecto!
On a side note, wouldn't a driveable trailer with wheels be the best idea? In case they come for you, you can drive away. Or a boat, so you can sail away! If you wanna keep chickens, attach some sort of coup on wheels you can hook up to your trailer, like those horse vehicles you see driving sometimes. You can keep a collapsible fence in yuor trailer and when yuo settle down, set it up in the fields.
Dare I say it, this will actually be a little fun!

Here's some things I've thought of, off the top of my head:
1. FOOD: rice, grains, wheat, seeds and pits (for planting), chocolate, fruit, chickens to raise. Salt and pepper and other spices to flavor and preserve food. Milk, water, healthy juices,
2. Icebox or fridge
3. Electricity generator that you can create energy with yourself (in case they shut off your power)
5. If possible, indoor plant growing system. You can have tomatoes, lettuce, beets, etc.
6. Hygiene: toothbrush, soap (NATURAL, and learn to make your own), floss (even more important than brush), sexual and other hygiene/period stuff, etc. Antiseptic (again, NATURAL). Shampoo, shaving supplies, tweezers, sunscreen
7. Books with knowledge about safe cooking, safe plant gathering, health and safety, weapons making, gardening and farming, language translation, science (weather and geology/geography), and the Jew question (we wanna know what he'll be up to).
8. WEAPONS. Automatic or semi-automatic. Cheap bullets, silencers (if affordable), sniper gear, binoculars, trip wires, tasers, mace/pepper spray/whatever, swords or knives (with sheaths), handgun you can hide because it's small, armor or bullet proof vests, night vision goggles
9. collapsible fences for setting up a chicken/animal grazing ground if you have to leave the area
10. Coup on wheels that hooks to your car/trailer to transport the chickens/goats/cows in
11. Heaters, especially those that you can power yourself. No use freezing to death.
12. Blankets and warm clothes/ undies. See above.
13. Water supply- either carry huge tanks in your icebox or fridge, or take river water and test it and treat it in case they poisoned it.
14. Family photos (on discs and printed out) and home videos, diaries, keepsakes (wedding rings, old favorite mugs, dolls, items of sentiment).
15. Cigarettes. even if you don't smoke, you can trade them for good stuff.
16. Medicines and herbs and oils such as tea tree (I put some on my poison ivy last night and it worked!), alcohol to dry itches up and sterilize, aloe vera for sunburns and itches, chamomile to sleep well. Also get stuff for bug and snake bites.
17. air conditioning. heatstroke kills many people a year. Always settle near water if you are going to be there for a long time.
18. Books, videos, music, and games for any kids there are with you, or fun loving adults. Just because we are taking necessities doesn't mean we can't take fun stuff in addition!
20. Animal food, and animal medicine/tools (leashes/brushes, whatever), books on how to raise your animal
21. Someone you love, even a pet- or at least a healthy respect for animal friends.
22. If religious, a Bible/Koran/pagan book etc, altar of worship, cross, prayers, necklaces.
23. I'm not trying to be funny here- a Jew costume. Perhaps if we are caught, or if there are Jews nearby, we can stay safe by donning the costume (we can make the excuse about why we're in the area by saying we're spying on the people in the area, etc). I don't know. I just feel like it's safer to pretend we're one of them if they come around. Or we could blow their brains out and speed away in our trailer!
24. Flower seeds- just so the species don't die out if the Jew tries to mess with the land in certain areas of the world. Imagine no more roses?
25. Water Filter (reverse Osmosis someone on here said was good), and food testing apparatus. No need to go through all this trouble only to have them poison us.
26. History books, and literature/music/plays/operas/coat of arms/swords/artifacts/trinkets from our heritage/cultures (irish, Polish, etc). Don't forget movies that document our past. We need weapons and food, but we also need to remember our heritage and art!
27. Connections with other safe folk, or their addresses/trailer numbers, etc. Perhaps a "hanky" code- we can hang certain color hankies out our windows to signal if we are safe.
28. Maps and compasses. I advise against GPS's because they can be used to track ya!
29. Hurricane, storm, flood, or other such precautions, such as inflatable rafts, water wings/lifesavers, rope to pull people back, grappling hooks, oars, canoes. Maybe we can even make floatable trailers! Of course, boats should have anti-flip mechanisms, and boaters should take diligent cautions to predict and sail away from storms and hurricanes.
30. Art and music and writing and other creative supplies for those that want to continue their passion.
31. Pen and paper in case computer isn't packed, or in case computer messes up. We need to be able to communicate with others somehow, or write diaries about what happened (perhaps to tell our posterity about the Jews' deeds)
32. Shovel to bury important things and bury the dead.
33. If possible (I'm not sure if it's even been invented) we could have devices with which we can put on component on something we bury, and track its exact location with the component we carry with us.
34. Hulda Clark's cancer zapper and other disease killing technologies.
35. Baby supplies (reusable diapers, safety pins), and maternal care, especially herbs that help with lactation and ease of birthing process.
36. Clothes- how could I forget!
37. A positive attitude
38. If there are any monuments we think they will destroy/cities (i.e.-Rome)/communities (little village in France) the town we grew up in- TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEOS and write notes. Make sure to print pictures out in addition to keeping them on discs and on computer. We don't want these beloved places to vanish from human memory. I take pictures everywhere I go, even of "unimportant" things. This way, if something I love and grew up with disappears, I still have it (my church burned down 6 years ago, so I'm glad I did!)
39. martial arts training equipment, in case we are caught without our weapons. Barbells and dumbells, weights, etc.
40. Family history book
41. Lots of space/cars that can hook up to your trailer like the chicken coops
42. Needles to vaccinate ourselves, and medicine to go in the needles.
43. Guard dog to prevent predators, protect animals. Maybe carrier pigeons to send messages?
44. Wood for fire in case our heaters break. Matches and fluid to light it up, or even flintstone.
You guys can add some more if you want, I'm pooped!

Me and my chickens will make a stand. I've made up my mind: I am NOT running, nor am I going to go willingly into their custody (might end up on a torture table).
Once I went on the run, I could never build up the same level of defenses I now have. At least I could go out fighting at this time and from my current position. I have everything I need here and I have the ability to defend it. Therefore I am not going to abandon my stuff or my position.

Again, I strongly disagree with this approach. We would be doing EXACTLY what they want us to do. Then all they would have to do is go around and pick us off one by one.

Thanks Larry! I never knew that about turkeys! And yes, I live right on the edge of the desert.

Yeah, I guess that makes more sense. Besides, if we pluck a few of them off, then we can save others from them as well. And of course, it's more fun to pluck them off.
I would be careful not to end up on a torture table, becuase they might use sleep gas on you and then take you in for experiments. Then again, who knows? Still we should try to pluck a few off.

People should try to grow as much of their own food as possible. Commercial fruits and vegetables are usually laced with pesticides, insecticides, sometimes given hormones and also being genetically modified. Commercial meats usually come from animals that live in crowded spaces, are given low quality food which can sometimes contain harmful chemicals such as arsenic being added to commercial chicken feed; they are also usually given hormones to grow much faster than they normally wood and antibiotics to treat infections that occur due to them being grown in unnatural environments and fed unhealthy diets.

Also some commercial poultry feed especially chicken feed called "medicated chicken feed" contains antibiotics that are put there supposedly for the health of the chicken. However healthy animals that are fed properly and are cared for well wouldn't get ill in the first place.
The article below from 2011 shows that an antibiotic containing arsenic was added to commercial chicken feed.
It's easy for people to just cook their own food their animals e.g. cooking some organic wheat and then adding some small pieces of fruits and vegetables. Also since birds in nature usually eat insects it would be good for them to feed them some worms/crickets e.t.c. which can be bought alive or dried from pet stores. So there is no need for the animals being fed any chemical laced commercial feed.
Dollar stores are a good place to get some of the minor stuff like first aid kits, candles, alcohol, toilet paper, containers, lighters, soap, toiletries and more.
